Major Suzan Hajj Hobeiche 

I'm, a native of Lebanon graduated from the Lebanese University with a diploma in Engineering and a Master’s degree in Computer Science. I was first appointed as Information Technology Officer at the Internal Security Forces (ISF), and hence became the first woman to join the ISF in Lebanon. While assigned to the Intelligence Department, I was working as an IT Officer. In 2004, I was transferred to the Telecommunication Department, In addition, I coordinated with the Ministry of Social Affairs regarding child pornography legislation. During that period, I also served as National Security Officer for the Interpol in Lebanon. In 2005, I was appointed as Chief of the Administrative Department at the Mobile Force Unit, and a year later, as Coordinator with the American Embassy for the evacuation of American citizens during the July 2006 war. In 2008, I was promoted to Chief of Technical Department in the Counter Terrorism Unit. In 2010, in addition to my functions, I was elected Assistant Secretary to the first Female Recruitment Commission in the ISF. In December 2011, in addition to my job, I was elected chief of the training to the first 600 female trainees. in October 2012 I was promoted to chief of Cybercrime and Intellectual Property office in the judicial police unit . I worked on conducting interrogations and investigation and arresting criminals who committed high tech, piracy and counterfeit crimes over all the Lebanese territory. I am an active speaker on gender issues and community policing in the ISF, also I gave Lectures on women’s empowerment in force in Canada and USA and UK. In addition, I am an active speaker on awareness and preventive cyber security in Lebanese universities , schools i also give lectures to Lebanese banks union on money laundry on the internet.
