Donald al Amriki e il Qàtar. Non vengo se non mettete i soldi.

Rex is doing a terrific job but he and I are having a little bit of differences only in terms of tone.
...So we went to Saudi Arabia. We had one of the great meetings ever. Fiftyfour muslim countries.
...but I said : you gotta stop the funding of terrorism. Tremendous money.
...So they are working very hard on that. 
...And it was an incredible two days. 
As an example Saudi Arabia put up hundreds of billions of dollars of money  going into buying our planes and our military equipment and investing in our country . 
And I said, you have to do that, otherwise I'm not going. 
So they spent hundreds of billions of dollars right in front of us. I mean they were signing and big people from the biggest countries, biggest companies General Electric, all of the the big companies...many were there getting  contracts. All good work for our workers . 
That was one of the things. 
But the other thing, is that, and it was very important to me, was the funding of terrorism has to stop. And they fund terrorism. Some of those countries. Many of those countries.
So we had a tremendous summit and I think things are going to work out . And I think it was a very very important and very impressive two days.
And I was, you know Qàtar, which a lot of people call Qataaar. But Qàtar is noooow, a little bit on the odds, but now they're being brought back in. Because they were known as a funder of terrorism.
But we said : So you can't do that ! You can't do that ! We have to starve the beast and the beast is terrorism. You can't have wealthy countries funding that beast .
....Well we'll be all right. Look, if we really have to leave, then we would have ten countries who's willing to build  us another one. Believe me. And they'll pay for it. You know the days for us paying for things are going to be largely over. They'll start back . We build, we this, we that.
But you're right. Qatàr, we're gonna have a good relationship with Qàtar 
Aaaand we're not gonna have a problem with the military base. But if we have the need of another military base, you have other countries who'd gladly build it . Believe me.

Un presidente americano non va in un Paese straniero, nè riceve in pompa magna un capo di governo estero assieme alla sua corte, se non c'è un do ut des adeguato. Però non si diceva fino a poco tempo fa. E della contropartita non sempre beneficiava la nazione.
La presidenza attuale ha i suoi lati positivi.

Quando parla, Trump ragiona solo in termini di profitto.
Vivere per lui, è essenzialmente fare quattrini.
Non ha tutti i torti visto che di sola aria non si campa.
Se però, in riferimento al sistema Paese, lo sviluppo culturale, le dinamiche sociali e la politica estera vengono assoggettati completamente al profitto, allora la nazione rischia di affondare.

Continua l'intenso lavoro diplomatico per risolvere la crisi del Golfo.
Dopo la visita di Tillerson, c'è stata quella del ministro degli esteri francese.
In Bulgaria l'Ambasciatore del Qatar ha incontrato il capo dell'intelligence.
Si tratta di un'agenzia molto attiva in medio-oriente.
La strategia messa in atto dal Qatar tende ad allungare i tempi in modo da dimostrare ai partner occidentali come le rimostranze dei vicini non poggino su basi solide, cercando anche di scongiurare il pericolo dei boicottaggi commerciali.
In questo modo riuscirebbe a cavarsela con qualche concessione alla famigerata lista delle tredici richieste. E soprattutto non rinuncerebbe all'orientamento tenuto in politica estera.
Tenuto conto del fatto che Kuwait e Oman sarebbero poco inclini a dare parere favorevole all'espulsione dal consiglio, il Qatar all'indomani della risoluzione della crisi può aspirare a rafforzare la sua posizione all'interno del GCC imponendo anche la propria linea di condotta.
Il fronte anti-Qatar continua  la campagna a base di fake news che va dallo spauracchio del trasferimento della base americana alla cancellazione del mondiale. Un'impostazione tutta basata su una guerra di nervi che ruota attorno a parecchi miliardi.
Sembrerebbe fallita la diplomazia saudita ormai completamente delegata al ministro dell'informazione.
Risulta difficile comprendere quale sia l'orientamento di ciascun emirato. Apparso fisicamente provato nel corso delle celebrazioni dell'Eid, Sheikh Khalifa potrebbe aver perso la leadership effettiva e gli altri per il momento seguono a ruota le mosse di Mohammed bin Zayed.
Preoccupa il futuro dell'Arabia Saudita, affidato almeno per i prossimi cinquant'anni ad un principe ereditario che ama aprire fronti conflittuali ma non riesce a chiuderli.
