Quando eravamo tra i potenti d'Europa

Il riferimento odierno era più che altro per la Siria e gli americani.
E anche per il recente incontro, a quanto pare burrascoso, con il ministro Le Drian.
Però visto il rapporto che c'è tra l'Ayatollah e il generale, è bene tenerlo presente almeno come avvertimento.

Contrariamente a quanto molti pensano, il generale Soleimani non è persona molto religiosa.
O meglio. Lo è nella misura in cui il sentimento religioso è espressione di nazionalismo.
Aveva visto giusto a proposito dell'insidia rappresentata dal velo quando gli si attribuisce valenza sociale e politica. Il suo parere sull'hijab non era in contrasto con quello espresso dall'Ayatollah in occasione della festa della donna che in molte parti del medio-oriente viene dedicata alla madre.
Il suo approccio più pratico è poi stato messo in discussione dalla reprimenda fatta nei confronti dei riformisti che in Gennaio hanno inviato delle lettere aperte molto dure all'Ayatollah definendolo tiranno. In occasione dell'anniversario della rivoluzione li ha invitati con decisione a fare un passo indietro. Probabilmente pur essendo ancora convinto, dopo le proteste dello scorso Dicembre,che si debba prestare orecchio a tutti, forse adesso lo farebbe con maggiore lungimiranza.
