A second plane with medical aid supplies arrived in the US in solidarity with our NATO ally. We will continue to support our allies, friends and those in need around the world. This is not a matter of politics but our President Erdogan’s and our country’s humanitarian approach.

We also sent a shipment of medical supplies to Somalia to help our brothers and sisters to fight against the coronavirus outbreak. The shipment included for the first time Turkey’s locally manufactured ventilators.
We hear a lot of positive feedback and praise about our humanitarian aid to close to 60 countries so far. Everyone should remember that Turkey has been leading the world in humanitarian aid ratio to its GDP even before this pandemic.
We continue to host some 4 million refugees in our country thanks to the beautiful generosity of our people. This is the highest number in the world. We don’t keep in camps but accept them among ourselves as brothers and sisters. It is simply what is required of our humanity.
As I said it before, our President Erdogan reminds us every day that we have to meet this historic challenge with our humanitarianism. What we have done for the world so far in the Covid-19 crisis is a clear proof of how we view our fellow human beings.
Turkey will emerge from this crisis having mobilized national resources for the wellbeing our people, cared for the sick and the weak, helped others around the world, and led global efforts to mount a global response.
We are proud of our people’s patience, generosity, and resilience!

La strategia umanitaria di Qatar e Turchia è orientata a sostenere i governi di :
1 Paesi amici che svolgono un ruolo attivo (non necessariamente importante vd. Italia) all'interno di organismi internazionali.
2 Interlocutori con i quali sono giocate partite importanti sullo scacchiere internazionale.
3 Paesi dove si combattono guerre proxy (Somalia tra gli altri) e dove il limite tra terrorismo-dissidenza-regime è molto confuso.
Ovviamente il fronte interno è l'obiettivo primario da conquistare con questo tipo di operazioni.
