Yesterday, the U.S. Government and the Libyan Government of National Accord, represented by Foreign Minister Mohamed Siala and Minister of Interior Fathi Bashaga, launched a U.S-Libya Security Dialogue in Washington, D.C. The Government of National Accord’s delegation expressed grave concerns regarding the security situation and its effect on the civilian population. The United States calls on the “Libyan National Army” to end its offensive on Tripoli. This will facilitate further U.S.-Libya cooperation to prevent undue foreign interference, reinforce legitimate state authority, and address the issues underlying the conflict. The U.S. delegation, representing a number of U.S. government agencies, underscored support for Libya’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russia’s attempts to exploit the conflict against the will of the Libyan people.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani has received a written message from HE the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Luigi Di Maio, pertaining to bilateral relations and means of boosting them. The message was handed to HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi during a meeting today with HE Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the State of Qatar, Pasquale Salzano.

Se per created and abandoned lo si intende tale, probabilmente il GNA nelle intenzioni non era il classico puppett government come la tradizione occidentale prevede.
Però si è comportato così. Abbandonandosi al migliore offerente.
Finchè americani ed europei continuano ad affidarsi al singolo o al gruppo del momento (i giornali egiziani lo scorso mese riferivano di un Salamé alla ricerca di una figura terza) la situazione rimarrà critica. Non c'è uomo o entità che possa rappresentare la Libia intera.
Ci sono i backers che giocano a farsi la guerra.
Bisogna puntare su di loro servendosi delle relazioni sviluppate.
