Airgreen was provided with documentation indicating that the helicopters registration certificates were issued by the Eritrean Civil Aviation Authority and that they were included in the Eritrean civil aircraft register. However, according to a defence analysis publication, the Eritrean air force is in possession of four Agusta Bell 412 helicopters used for logistical purposes by No. 7 Squadron.23 Images of the helicopters taken upon arrival at the Airgreen servicing centre further indicate — given their apparent military colouration — that, at a minimum, they had been used previously for military purposes (see annex 5). 46. Following their overhaul, the helicopters were painted white.

Quella che all'epoca i quotidiani torinesi descrivevano come una storia di successo di una piccola azienda locale, non è altro che ordinaria amministrazione in un mondo dilaniato dalle guerre. Tutti sono consapevoli del vero uso che viene fatto di quegli elicotteri.
Dalle ambasciate ai governi. Nessuno verifica che quanto attestato dalla documentazione presentata corrisponda a verità. Non vale la pena scoprire una goccia che è parte di un mare largamente inquinato.
Le responsabilità maggiori vanno cercate piuttosto in conflitti come quello tra il Qatar e l'Arabia Saudita, che trova terreno fertile nei Paesi africani. Guerre proxy che si combattono a spese della popolazione civile.
