Il profilo quasi fanciullesco del dottor Regeni che continua ad emergere dai ricordi di amici e colleghi, avvalora in un certo senso la tesi di John Lachapelle che ha esperienza sul campo.
E almeno in parte scagiona Aise ed Ambasciata incomprensibilmente assenti dalla scena prima del delitto.
Si è trattato probabilmente di una sovrastima del pericolo effettivo che Regeni rappresentava per il regime o per una parte di esso.
Oppure c'è qualche altro elemento che fatica ad emergere dal suo vissuto in Egitto e che ha solleticato qualcuno degli apparati di sicurezza. Sette giorni di torture non sono nemmeno tanti ma sono significativi.
