Dear Sir,
we would like to encourage you to keep those “Lazio supporters” in Poland as long as
possible, so they will not commit the same crimes in Italy in the near future.
Unfortunately, in our country, football’s supporters attacking Police forces is a common thing,
as well as causing damages to public property and never having to pay for their misbehaviour
and for their crimes, neither by doing time in jail or by way of fines.
We, as Coisp, one of the major police union representatives in Italy, truly hope the people
you have arrested will learn this lesson and remember it for their entire life.
We are completely against any form of violence, especially when it is related to sports and
football in particular, as we think sports should be a moment of joy and aggregation; an
occasion for cheering your team and not an excuse for every kind of violence.
Our sympathy and our full solidarity to the Police Officers who were attacked by those so
called supporters.
I hereby enclosed a public press release on this very subject.
Yours faithfully,
The Secretary General of COISP
Franco Maccari
