Motivations

 

Prosecutors said Ali Harbi Ali, a man from London with Somali heritage, had “religious and ideological motivations” when he attacked David Amess last week in the town of Leigh-on-Sea. Prosecutors allege Ali targeted Amess because the lawmaker had voted for air strikes on Syria. afp 

"Ali considered himself affiliated to Islamic State (ISIS)," James Cable told afp, reuters

Specifically, we see these threats manifested by domestic violent extremists (DVEs) and homegrown violent extremists (HVEs), both threats that arise in the United States. The FBI describes individuals who seek to commit violent criminal acts in furtherance of social or political goals stemming from domestic influences—such as racial or ethnic bias, or anti-government or anti-authority sentiments—as DVEs whereas HVEs are individuals inspired primarily by foreign terrorist groups, but not receiving individualized direction from those groups. Timothy Langan FBI

Nelle piazze si ritrovano persone che non riconoscono l'autorità a causa delle decisioni prese su questioni come quella del green pass. Gli scambi in rete riescono a dare un'idea del potenziale che può essere messo in campo. In quei momenti l'ideologia, intesa come identità, passa in secondo piano.
