Risulta interessante (probabilmente non è casuale) il fatto che l'avvocato della difesa in questi giorni avrebbe rilasciato dichiarazioni molto nette sulla mancata testimonianza del capo del MIT. A suo parere Hakan Fidan avrebbe dovuto testimoniare.
Profilo interessante quello di Bicak.
Specializzatosi in difesa dei diritti umani in Inghilterra, ha praticato l'attività alla corte europea.
Successivamente ha lavorato nell'ufficio del primo ministro ed è stato referente degli organismi internazionali proprio in materia di diritti umani. Avrebbe anche tentato una carriera politica come candidato di AKParti.
Sempre secondo Ahval, che assieme a Nordic Monitor è una specie di agenzia stampa dei dissidenti turchi in esilio, il tipo di difesa presentata dal ragazzo in una fase avanzata del processo, è una tattica ricorrente in casi come questo. E sovente gli uomini se la cavano con condanne molto lievi.
Evidentemente la vicenda giudiziaria, così come accade in altri Paesi dell'area, è stata un'occasione (una condanna era abbastanza scontata) sfruttata dalla politica per dimostrare che in Turchia non esiste una questione vera e propria di violenza sulle donne e che la giustizia funziona.
Per parte sua l'avvocato ha cavalcato l'onda opposta. La linea di difesa aveva una sua logica.
Ma la scelta è caduta nel momento sbagliato. Un delitto così efferato non poteva che scatenare emozioni su più fronti.
Ad Hakan Fidan non rimane che tenere d'occhio questo soggetto a quanto pare anche ben collegato all'estero.
