For Services identified in Schedule 1, Client will pay Consultantthe following fees in U.S. Dollars ($): ❖ $150,000.00 per month during the Term, paid quarterly, each installment to be paid in advance * $50,000.00 per quarter during the Term for expenses in connection with the Services, each installment to be paid in advance Consultant will not perform Services until (i) this Agreementis duly signed and executed by Client and delivered to Consultant, and (ii) an initial payment of $500,000.00 has been received by Consultant. Payments shall be made by wire transfers to Consultant’s bank per attached Schedule 4. Client acknowledges and agrees that the consulting fees for Services provided in connection herewith shall not be reduced by any expenses incurred or not incurred by either party. In addition, Client will pay all polling expenses and any media/advertising expenses, including both production and placement. Said expense will only be incurred with the prior approval of Client, and will be billed along with fees and other expenses. In the event expenses exceed $50,000 in any given quarter, Consultant may, within its sole judgment and discretion, require Client to pay said expense directly or in advance prior to Consultant undertaking or incurring such expenses

Un voltafaccia che ha lasciato basito Sarraj, che ha tacciato di criminale Haftar e ha avvertito Roma che la riapertura del consolato a Bengasi (terra di Haftar) sarebbe considerato un atto ostile; ma ha anche spinto i sostenitori di quest’ultimo ad accomunare l’Italia agli altri sponsor, vecchi e nuovi, del generale. Un voltafaccia forse dettato da un inconfessato do ut des? Non lo si sa, mentre è chiaro che con questa giravolta l’Italia ha messo in gioco la sua credibilità non solo sull’uno e sull’altro fronte libico, ma anche sul piano internazionale.

L'aspetto bizzarro della presenza italiana nel complesso scenario libico è la convinzione che in fondo le cose potessero risolversi in maniera lineare anche se non veloce. Chi esattamente ha sostenuto questa visione ? Quando c'è di mezzo Haftar tutto risulta essere più laborioso.
La fase di stallo dovrebbe durare a lungo e ciò pare soddisfare il fronte emiratino.
